CAKE CARE TIPS
Handling
Pick up your cake from the bottom of the box, not from the sides, to prevent any damage. When you’re holding the cake, try to keep it as level as possible to avoid tilting the box.
Transport
Place the cake on a level surface (such as in the footwell of your car) and drive carefully. Do not place on the car seat. Not to be carried and held on anyone's lap.
Cakes can collapse when exposed to heat so make sure your vehicle is cool ~ turn your heating off or your aircon ON to prevent the cake from warming and melting.
Storage and Serving
Store the cake in its original box inside the fridge at +/- 5 deg C and take it out at least 1 hour before serving.
Store leftover cakes in an airtight container.
It is recommended that you remove the cake from the refrigerator and leave at room temperature out of direct sunlight for a minimum 1 hour before service as this allows the cake to come up to room temperature, so the texture is soft, and the taste is best.
Please note: certain decorations may contain foodsafe structural plastic or metal wire supports, please take care to remove these elements that contain the dowels and wires before serving, it is not recommended to give the decorations to young children as they may contain these elements. If you have a multi-tiered cake, the lower tiers will have plastic supporting dowels to help maintain the structure, they need to be removed before serving.
You may cut your cake in the shape and size you prefer. Please note the number of portions you have ordered or require before cutting. Cake cutting suggestions will be availble upon request.

Size:
Custom cakes are high cakes, each level is at least 5inches high unless specified (certain models and specific designs may require different heights).
The sizes of our cakes are as follows:
S - 8-12 portions = 6 inches diameter (5 inches high)
M - 12-16 portions = 7 inches diameter (5 inches high)
L - 18-24 portions = 8 inches diameter (5 inches high)

Collection Date
This is the date you have selected when you ordered your cake, you will find this date in your order acknowledgement email and subsequent emails we send you before the date of collection.
